ABOUT
I am a professional actor working over 30 years in film, TV, and stage. In the 80's and 90's, I cut my teeth in the NYC downtown theatre scene. More recently, you can catch me on the Indie Festival circuit as well as TV shows such as BOARDWALK EMPIRE, BLUE BLOODS, JESSICA JONES, BLINDSPOT and GOTHAM.
Upcoming Projects
Despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike and the WGA strike, I've booked and finished three short films this year. All were very artistically fulfilling. WHEN WE SAILED is a character study of two homeless men and how they do whatever they can to feel human. THE ACCIDENT, which was shot in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NY, deals with two friends coming to terms with a devastating event. Finally, WELCOME TO THEATER is a buddy comedy that goes a little awry after very different pandemic experiences.
NOTHING HAPPENED is a story of a young girl and her desire to reconnect with her estranged grandfather. I play Desmond, the girl's grandfather, a jazz pianist who makes his living doing the rounds of NYC clubs. It's a terrific piece and a great character study. It is currently doing the festival rounds.
DR. DEATH, starring Joshua Jackson, AnnaSophia Robb, Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater is streaming on NBC's Peacock. You can catch me playing Henry Aldrich, one of Duntsch's patients. It recounts the true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, who killed or maimed 33 of his patients and is now serving 45 years in prison.
SEVEN SHORT FILMS ABOUT (OUR) MARRIAGE had it's world premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, CA. It is now airing on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Vimeo and more! The film was nominated for several awards at ReelHeART International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada, including Best Feature Film, Best Editing, Best Cinematography and Best Actor - Drez Ryan as Noah. Drez wound up winning his category and I couldn't be happier for him! Congratulations to the entire team!! Here's a link to the trailer: https://vimeo.com/385256680
ART written by Adam Aresty and directed by Jacqueline Dow is entered the festival fray just as Covid hit the streets. It didn't get much of a festival showing but you can watch with this link: https://vimeo.com/513969424. It's basically me doing an 8 page monologue while driving a town car. NICE!!
Another short I did at the end of 2019, TROOPER, is also currently being submitted to major festivals, which hopefully will be up and running again soon.
Lots of good stuff going on - check back to keep up with the break neck pace of things!
